Just an FYI and wondering if others have had similar experience. Around 11 years ago I purchased 2 x Remco 105Ah AGMs for my van. After purchasing a
Ranger (five years ago) I transferred them in temporarily, however they started playing up, not taking charge. At this point (around 3 years ago) I changed the system for two 120Ah LIFEPo4's (which have been brilliant).
Having just changed over the AGM's in my boat I thought I'd use one to run my pond pump (via a solar panel). Unfortunately neither is taking charge. Out of curiosity I put the meter on the old Remco (gave one away years ago, this one has been sitting around in a corner for the past 3 years). It showed 12.6! Fitted it to the solar and- voila!- working pond pump.
Over eleven years old and sitting around for three. Is this a rarity?
Cheers,
Mark

I have 1 purchased Nov 2013 that still holds charge. Our trailer had 2 Remcos in it when bought 2nd hand in 2013 so unsure of age, but they both started playing up in late '21 so were replaced with lithium.
