Good morning all.
And because I grew up saying Merry Christmas and Happy New Year I’ll continue that tradition and wish all members and visitors on EO a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year.
And if this offends anyone - tough
Cheers

Can't imagine why any genuinely offered & unconditional Christmas greeting might offend anyone.
Thank you & Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all, here & everywhere, of all faiths & beliefs, of all backgrounds , & regardless of whether you celebrate Christmas yourself I send you love & wish you
well.

Thanks
John T and others. I like your style, and yes a Merry Christmas to you all.
People have a right to be offended if that is how they choose to do life. They can, but they certainly should be fronting up for work and not considering it a holiday (Holy Day). Sort of can’t have it both ways.

It was many things before it was Christmas. The day doesn't belong to the religious - it belongs to us all.

Originally it was to celebrate the Winter Solstice in the Norther Hemisphere.

As an avowed atheist and someone who has taken part in numerous debates on the problems religion brings... I've never met anyone (reasonable) who has a problem with the idea of saying "Merry Christmas", Christian or not.
I understand the notion of looking to make the season inclusive for all, but, in our society (yes, I know, the concept was adapted by the Christians from the "pagan" celebrations) Christmas is derived from a Christian basis. No-one seriously cares, surely?
I've celebrated Diwali in India, but I'm not Hindu (mind you, the inhaling of coloured powders get's up my nose!)..
Hope everyone had a great day. Cheers,
Mark

The most important man in history, according to some. Yet no one recorded the day, month or even the year of his birth. Most remarkable, his name wasn't even Jesus. Would you answer the prayers of nuisances that continually call you by the wrong name?
