Hi there I have a 93 coaster and half way through travelling.it has lost all reds , it still fires but can’t get reds on . I have by pass the ign fuse to try start it. Reds came on but bus won’t start like it’s not receiving diesel , have checked all fuses including fuseable ones but no help , wondering if anyone has wiring diagram to chase the wire to see if damaged or any other input would be great

I am a bit confused with what you said. You said "it still fires" does that mean it runs the engine?
If you bypassed the ign fuse and RED lights appeared then it seems to be the one which is blown for some reason, possibly shorted wire and blown the fuse. Then you said "it won't start"!
So, does it start and run or does it NOT start and run, can't be both.
I would look for chaffed wiring shorting to earth, especially if loom wires run over/past moving parts like engine case, steering etc.
The fuses are to PROTECT the wiring so they should not be burnt or melted. Bypassing may light up more than the dash board if you don't have a fuse to limit/cut current being applied.
If fuses ARE OK also look for loose or dirty loom plugs which often become corroded inside and unseen until pulled apart for inspection and possible cleaning.

Sorry about that , it cranks but won’t start I’m guessing with out the reds to signal diesel pump etc . I ran a wire with fuse linked into it and plugged it into ignition fuse . By doing this I gained reds back on dash but still won’t start so wondering if wiring linked to that ignition fuse is linked to another not allowing diesel to start it . I will
check over loom plugs and chaffed wiring now , thanks for your help

Do you mean ‘revs’? You may be an overseas visitor? Just a bold assumption. If so you might have a blocked fuel filter or a damaged fuel hose.

Not having REDS means No REDs, ie, on the dash. So no alt running or oil pressure. Needs to have power to them to begin anything.

Hi Oliver,
I really think you need an on site Auto. Electrician to problem solve this. Too many things that can go wrong and cause a fire with this one.

Hi Oliver,
May be so, but as you have already stated in another response, you are “not a knowledgeable car person”, it is not wise to “tinker” with something that you have little knowledge about. Particularly something that might actually further damage the electrical wiring loom. A friend of
mine through he knew what he was doing when he tried to jump start his motorcycle from another battery, ended up “frying” the whole wiring loom when he inadvertently touched the frame with the positive cable clamp. How long would it take to replace the wiring loom on your Coaster? That is of course if you can get another one.

If you find the wire going to the injector pump and ensure it is fed 12v it should then allow fuel through the pump so when it cranks it will start. Given the glow plugs may also be required if cold.

I would
check what fuel is coming out of the pump when turning it over.
As RMD says could be a issue with wiring to the pump, or cut off solenoid.

There was a post same as this on the modified 80 series facebook page or the 1hz facebook page they hade it solved in no time, as above it was chafed wires in engine bay, Try posting on there, will see if I can find it.

Some Japanese commercial vehicles have two power feeds to the ignition switch which are fed from two fuseable links off the battery. You may have damaged one

A FUSIBLE LINK can look perfect but fractured inside and NOT connecting. If you have the gear or
test light,
check at the vehicle end of each fusible link you find to see if there is voltage there!
Trying to stretch them they slowly get longer! which is bad.

The alt reg supplies earth to those reds.... if they are getting power, you need a new reg. if they are not, you may need an ignition switch
