Prostrate creeper. Leaves oval to lance shaped. Flower heads made of many small flowers. The heads have a fluffy appearance due to feathery bracts surrounding the small flowers.&lt;br /&gt;

Prostrate annual, herb, 0.03-0.12 m high, leaves, ovate-spathulate, 7-110 mm long, leaves 2-45 mm wide; spike ovoid-cylindrical, 15-50 mm long; spike 25-40 mm wide; bract 7.5-9 mm long; bracteole 8.5-10 mm long; tepals 17-20 mm long; fertile stamens 2, staminodes 3; ovary hairy; style curved, 3.8-5 mm long, eccentrically fixed to ovary. Fl. pink-white, Apr to Nov. Red sand. Stony hills, plains, sand dunes.

In drier areas swathes of Mulla Mullas can make a wonderful springtime display after autumn rain. Upright plant to 75cm. Leaves broad and smooth. Conical flower heads held above foliage. Feathery appearance due to bracts surrounding individual small flowers.&lt;br /&gt;

Erect perennial to 1.5 m high.

Stems simple or branched, ± glabrous except for axils and young shoots.

Leaves obovate or oblong-lanceolate or spathulate, to 20 cm long, to 5 cm wide, acute, thick. Inflorescence conical lengthening to cylindrical, 3–20 cm long, 3–4.5 cm wide. Bracts hairy especially along midrib, ovate to elliptic, mucronate. Perianth segments c. 20 mm long; outer surface with close woolly hairs, mixed with longer straight hairs towards top third, apex glabrous; inner surface glabrous except for woolly base. Stamens 2 or 3, staminodes 3 or 2. Ovary stalked, hairy at the top. &lt;br /&gt;
