Perennial woody forb to 50cm tall.   Leaves alternating up the stems, 4-10cm long, 20-30mm wide, flat, hairy to bristly, deeply lobed, the lobes toothed.  Flower heads with 15-25 violet to purple, or white 'petals', and yellow centres. Flower heads oval, borne singly at the end of the stems.  Endangered NSW.  Protected NSW.
