Annual forb to 50cm tall.  Leaves alternating up the stems, the upper leaves stem clasping.  Flowersheads yellow, with no ligulate florets.  Flower heads cylindrical to narrow bell-shaped, in dense clusters of 6-12 flowers at the ends of the stems.

Widely distributed across inland Australia.&lt;br /&gt;
