Small erect or diffuse shrub to 40 cm high; branches glabrous except for pubescent new growth.

Leaves clustered, narrow-linear, 4–6 mm long, to 0.5 mm wide, margins incurved, softly pubescent to glabrous.

Flowers axillary, sessile. Sepals 4–6 mm long, glabrous. Petals 7–9 mm long. Stamens 8–12, usually completely surrounding carpels. Carpels 3, glabrous. &lt;br /&gt;

This common species is found in woodlands and forests, and even persists in cleared areas. It is a small shrub growing to about 30cm high. The leaves are wider towards the tip than near the base and the bright yellow flowers have a shallow notch in each of the five yellow petals.There are many stamens.&lt;br /&gt;

A small twiggy shrub to around 30cm in height. It has narrow, fine green leaves with a sharp tip. The flowers are bright yellow and flower durning winter and spring and can be found in the wetter areas of the Northern Agricultural Ditricts of South Australia.&lt;br /&gt;
