Hi guys I’m after a bit of information on GPS modules if possible. I’m wanting to use an iPad for navigation but unfortunately the one I have doesn’t have a sim so no built in GPS. I’d appreciate some feedback on the GPS units that you are using as the information on line is a bit overwhelming. Cheers in advance Blackie

Hi Blackie
I have been using a Garmin unit with an iPad for years now and find it an excellent piece of equipment. I am sure others will have varying views on it but for me it works well. The unit I use is a Garmin GLO2 and you can pick one up for about $165 at Johnny Appleseed GPS store.

We also have the Garmin GLO2 and have used it for years, it has reliable operation. We also have the extra non slip case and use it for app development and testing.

I too have been using exactly the same setup for the last few years without any issues whatsoever.
The non-slip case is a worthy addition as it simply & easily holds the GPS in place on the dash even when travelling over rough & bumpy terrain.
