I’ve been out of
the loop for some years now and back camping again.
I have a satking box and card and dish, and I have a legit VAST account, from what I can gather I can have it reactivated by a “hit” on my viewer card .
Previously this system was good, I’m assuming it still is, but my dish is pretty big full size thing.
Wondering if there’s any newer smaller options on the market these days?
Or any other tv options, only looking for the basic to watch the news etc
Thanks

Starlink will give you streaming
services, phone and internet. Much smaller set up comapred
to a big dish but not cheap. If your only using it a few months of the year though you can just pay the
subscription fee for the time your away.

Starlink is no doubt better. However, is also more expensive. Apart from the initial cost of box and antenna, the service is free.

Had Satking for years and was very happy with it.
In particular the OUTSTANDING service and response. We had an issue quite a few years after its warranty period and they were incredible. They express posted a control box to the NT for us to an address we were heading for. When that component was not the issue, they expressed posted the whole dish to the next place we were heading for.
No charge ever! They simply said it was out of warranty by a few years but shouldn't have happened, so they stood by their product
You state the dish "is a pretty big full size thing" The Staking is actually the smaller footprint of the free to air Sat TV and is a square dish
I would back them 100 %

You can use a smaller dish travelling in much of the country, but signal may be a bit iffy when in the far north, so it really depends where you want to travel as to choice of dish size.
