Places Volunteer Job

ExplorOz Places has a comprehensive database of Stations and Homesteads throughout Australia, many of which require contact details to be added. This information is needed by travellers when trip planning and on the road to enquire about issues such as road access, accommodation and camping, as well as for emergency assistance.

If you have time and a willingness to research, we would appreciate your help in finding and adding contact details to as many of these Places as possible.

Please contact the ExplorOz Offices at info@exploroz.com to find out more.

The Simpson Desert Conservation Park, Regional Reserve, and Warburton Crossing are closed until 15th March 2014.
Access to Dalhousie Springs is still open from Mt Dare & Oodnadatta.

Woomera Prohibited Area exclusion periods continue to be in force for the 2013 -14 financial year. This includes areas of the Stuart Highway and Anne Beadell Highway.

The Western Explorer - Stanley to Strahn

The road is closed due to a very large landslip between Corinna and Smithton. When heading north from Zeehan and cross the Pieman river, the way out is to go back through Savage River to Waratah. The closure is expected to continue throughout the summer until March 2014.

VIC / SA Border
