Aub's
bore is one of the
test wells dug during mineral exploration of the
Great Sandy Desert in the 1980’s. The
bore has been fitted with a protective cap and a 44 gallon drum has been placed over it to further protect the
bore casing. The area is over grown these days but the
bore sits on the northern side of the old east-west Pegasus line. We were unable to assess the depth and quality of the water at the time of our visit in 2009.
