The Mullet

Yellow-eye mullet congregate in schools in the southern waters of Australia. Prefers areas with sand or mud bottoms in water depths up to 20m.

Mullet responds very well to any berley. Try several baited hooks set under a float near the surface. For targeting surf species use a twin dropper paternoster rig

 Eating a Mullet

Strong Distinctive flavour, moist soft to medium flesh that is pink to grey in colour. has medium oiliness that is much higher during their migration (April - May)
