Tyre Comparison Page?

Good morning, can't seem to find the tyre comparison page any more, can some body point me in the right direction? TIA.

I'm interested when you find any decent comparison John. Tyres on my Prado have a way to go before needing replacement but research so far unfortunately suggests there are not many LT choices available in my size (265/60R18). Eg - no LT version in that size for the popular Toyo Open Country AT II. I'm not keen to change size - they're big and wide enough already.

Couple of external links which might help you. The TireRack website has really useful charts based on user ratings for a large range of ty/ires. I've picked the AT chart as an example in the link but you can find much more under "Research&Advice" at the top of their home page.

G’day Bazooka,
The problem of no LT in the newer larger diameter tyres has been a problem for years. When 17’s came in there were no LT’s for a while .
The industry will start producing LT as time goes on , but who knows when there will be much available?

Definitely limiting, some Pajero owners downsize to 17s to get more choice and save $. Even when available some ATs have lower load ratings eg Bridgestone 697s are only available as 114 in 18", whereas you can get an LT version at 118 in 17". While there are quite a few AT pattern tyres with a 114 load rating and a lot more 110 rated, I ended up going with BFG KO2s with load ratings 119/116. Dick Cepek and Coopers also do a 119 in 265/60 R18. A bit more choice if you go to MTs. I notice Bob Jane had Radar brand (??) with 119/116 ratings for $289. All in all a limited choice and ~$100 per tyre more expensive.

Using Goodyear Wranglers. Served me well for a long time. Limited sizes available in what I need, and not a lot of choice. Also need 114 tyre rating which limits others.
Overall have had no complaints with Goodyear Wranglers and consequently stuck with them.

Only 110 (4240kg) load rating in the 265/60R18 Dave. Nevertheless, out of interest what sort of mileage do you get from a set of 4 (/5)?

hankook dynapro lt 265/60 . awesome tyre . looked after with alignment and proper rotation no reason why you won't get 100K out of them .

My grand cherokee has done 180,000 and i am only on my second set of hankooks with plenty of grip left

Bazooka I don't get very good kilometres out of a set of tyres. Do a lot of work in sharp rocky country which is hard on tyres. I also change tyres well before most do at around 60% max, and sell off the tyres.
How long the tyres last is not a criteria for me buying tyres, reliability and lack of tyre failure is all important. I don't really care about kilometres. To date the Goodyear Wrangler have never let me down, so stick with them.

Which tyre exactly Dusta? Dynapro AT2 has LT but not in 265/60R18 that I could see.

Just an aside, but I've pointed out to Tyresales that their description of the Toyo Open Country AT II being LT (in all sizes) is misleading. So far they haven't amended their spiel under tyre details, which I think is deceptive now that they have been made aware of the error : Misleading Tyresales Description "The Toyo Open Country A/T 2 is an all terrain light truck tyre with high on and off-road performance levels. " Caveat emptor if you're buying from them.
