We were there a few years ago. Enjoyed a Saturday night roast and entertainment around the fire. Beautiful spot.
From memory it is about 20 mins south of
Barcaldine with the turn in to a dirt track on the right. The road in was pretty wet when we were there and some were struggling to get in / out. We had a 76 Series and a hybrid van so got through without any issues (but I did engage 4wd ).
I don't think it opens until May and then runs thru to late September perhaps? Current rains in central Qld may have some impact but it is still a month or so before opening.

Currently, when you open one of the pages, a pop-up appears saying "Opening 1st May to 6th October 2025." That was probably added before the big rains hit.

I was there for one night a couple of years ago. Only one night because there was rain coming and they closed the place so that people weren't driving on and damamging the dirt road back to the highway when it was wet. Given that, it would have to be closed now and for some time to come, in addition to seasonal closures.
It's a nice enough spot, but very popular, and for that reason I found it over-rated. Didn't think much of the official live entertainment loud music. It's not really "wetlands" anymore. I was told that it used to be, but was cleaned up to enable boating,

We were there last year, its about 30km south of
Barcaldine about 15km off the Landsborough Highway.
There's a huge
sign at the turnoff (on lhs) coming from the south. Their website states do NOT follow Google maps as it takes you through neighbouring properties, follow their directions.
From memory it doesn't open untilsome time in April and closes down in October.
Not sure what the impact of the CQ flooding rain will have as its not too far off the Alice(?) River .
We towed our small hybrid in there, the dirt road was good as its mostly on "red desert country" not higher clay "Downs soil".
No problems towing standard vans in there last year with a
sedan last year, if you took it slowly.
Good place for a night or two, just take your own dunny paper as some low life campers steal what they put out each day.
