First thing on the agenda today were a few phone calls chasing transit permits forWoomera & Marilinga. Then it was into Port Augusta and got National Park permits Tallaringa. Rang Mark from McDonalds car park and completed the forms over the phone for him to email on our behalf. After that it was off towards Iron Knob and Whyalla. There was nothing thing much on offer at Whyalla so kept on going, ambling into every little seaside village and port along the way. Landscapes were very mallee like in that there were expanses of arid cropping lands and fringed with patches of Mallee eucalypt scrub. Lunch at Cowell and then on to Arno Bay, Port Neill and then a very picturesque Tumby Bay. Arrived in Port Lincoln about 3.30 p.m. and checked in to the Caravan Park. Did a bit of surveying of the town, bought a few groceries for dinner and then back to the park via the Marina and snobby areas. We’ve decided to stay for two nights.
