Both books were co-written by Member Phil Bianchi, who worked with us to produce this trek note. You probably don't need to be told that ExplorOz is about sharing ideas but sometimes it's just impossible to keep up to date with all the daily postings so here's some tips to search and filter the site for the stuff that really interests you ...
If you have a passion for a specific topic then start your browsing through the Articles (or Treks) tab at the top of the site. Each Article or Trek has a specific section called "Feedback" where you can read all previous comments left by others. Most comments are interactive so if you want to join in, simply click "Read Full Thread", which will take you directly to the thread that was created in the Forum.
Blogs is the place to wax lyrical, jump on your soapbox, show off your favourite photos, or tell a yarn - and who cares what topic it's about! Blogging is all about you and what you want to tell the world. You don't even have to leave the Forum to see the latest Blog listing shown just above the list of threads! But you'll find you can't beat browsing through the Blogs Index looking for tags that interest your mood at the time. With all Blogs categorised by tags and most blogs open for comment it actually means that Blogs are effectively a topic-based Forum and that's why it's so good for all the stuff that is off-topic or not quite appropriate for the main Forum. In fact, our Members have posted nearly a thousandBlogs
and these receive thousands of viewers so if you've haven't yet, start spending some time browsing the Blogs.
Here's another great way to post something constructive on the site. One of the features of buying online is that you can read reviews on the product written by other buyers. In the ExplorOz Shop we encourage you to give ratings about items you have bought so that others can consider your views before they buy. Simply open a specific product page in the Shop and click "Rate this Item" to have your say, or read the "What Others Say" section at the bottom of every product page.
This week we have some good news about a popular feature of ExplorOz Membership. Due to a recent upgrade, we've streamlined the way you read, reply and manage your Member Messages with a fresh new look, a faster back-end and best of all, a user-friendly interface. To send a message, (you need to be a personal member) you click into another Member's Profile page and ‘Send Message’. To find their profile page simply look for their name in the Members List. To open and read your member messages, simply click into your Member home page (icon in the grey toolbar) and then click My Messages.
