SAT--TRAK24 |
The SAT--TRAK24 service is now in the final stages of
testing and now is your chance to get involved. [What
is SAT--TRAK24? Click here to read article online]
The developers of the SAT--TRAK24 system would like to
involve YOU in the development and potential function of one specific
application they are looking to add to the service.
"The concept of
"Outback Guardian" is an optional service using the
SAT--TRAK24 system whereby an explorer (you) plans an off the beaten
track travel plan by entering waypoints and estimated time of arrival
for each into the SAT--TRAK24 system. The waypoints, dates and eta
times are uploaded to SAT--TRAK24 operations where each point/time of
the journey is automatically monitored for compliance until the last
point of the journey. If for any reason the explorer does not meet a
place and time the system alerts the monitor. The travellers last position
is checked and polled for the most current position and if they
are not where they said they would be then contact with them
would be made to establish if all is OK. If no contact
confirmation is received or satisfied as pre-arranged a
search/locating plan would be commenced."
You are being asked what you think of the concept of
"Outback Guardian" and to make suggestions, forward ideas
etc. Please go to the specific thread on the Forum Post
ID 5122 and then provide your feedback by posting replies. |
