NEW Trek Notes
Quobba
Coast (WA)
This
trek starts in Carnarvon in Western Australia and follows a scenic route
out along the rugged coast just north of the town and takes in
Blowholes, Quobba Station and the popular surfing reef at Red Bluff.
West
Swan to Muchea (WA)
If you're looking for a short day trip in Perth where you can practise
your 4WD skills then this is the trip for you.
Expedition
National Park (QLD)
A trip to this truly isolated wildness park is ideal at this time of
year. Best of all it is only 350km from Highway 1
and 550km from Brisbane, yet it's quiet possible to have this 110,000
hectare park all to yourself, even on weekends.

Launch of PlotSwap™
|
If
you use a GPS and OziExplorer mapping software, then you'll love to
start using PlotSwap™. |
PlotSwap™ is a data
swapping AND mapping facility.
Some of you have already been using the
earlier versions of this facility to upload your own data file (OziExplorer
.plt files), however NOW you can also download a fully geo-referenced
digital map containing 1M topographic map data combined with unique
data layers specific to outback travellers including the track files.
All this is free for your own data, but PlotSwap is designed as a
sharing facility. In order to
download other people's data you need PointPlace credits. (Note -
200 credits are supplied when you become an ExplorOz
Member and an additional 200 PointPlace credits can then be
purchased for $5 when required.
