Forrest Holiday Park is a charming destination on the doorstep of the Otway Ranges, just 30 minutes from the Great Ocean Road.
The bush surrounds make for a tranquil environment. Set up
camp on a powered or unpowered site with a view of the mountains, or park on a powered gravel site.
Check into one of their brand-new cabins, fitted with a kitchenette, private bathroom, TV, air conditioning/heating, and personal balcony. Their two-bedroom cabins are big enough to sleep up to six people. The park is pet-friendly, and now offers specialty studio cabins to welcome your furry friend with individual fences, secure dog run, and a dog bed, food, and water bowl (please note, pet cleaning fee applies). The park also has a
fenced dog exercise area.
For an extra special stay,
check into a glamping tent complete with a queen bed, linen, Esky, glassware, crockery, cutlery, amenities pack, USB charging port, Bluetooth speaker, and
camp lantern, powered by solar energy. There are also family-size tents available. All you have to do is arrive and embrace the luxury!
Forrest Holiday Park boasts a brand new
camp kitchen, BBQ area, communal fire pit, laundry, and amenities blocks (including a disabled
toilet and family room). There are two on-site tennis courts and a playground, plus a nearby skate area and play space.
Forrest is especially known for its walking and mountain biking
trails, so be sure to bring your hiking shoes and bike. Pop in for a satisfying beverage at the
Forrest Brewing Company or buy local products and comfort food at the
Forrest General Store (their treats are perfect to bring back and eat on your cabin balcony). Play all day, then enjoy a hot shower before rugging up around the campfire with marshmallows in hand.
With the
Otways and the Great Ocean Road at your fingertips, you are never more than a short drive away from all the region’s
trails, beaches, and waterfalls. Find a platypus lurking in
Lake Elizabeth, the hidden body of water formed by flooding more than fifty years ago—it’s also an amazing spot for walking, paddling, and fishing.
Stevensons Falls is another highlight of the
Otways, suitable for families and dogs alike, accessible by a Grade 2 walk with no steps.
Whether you’re planning an escape to the
Otways, or passing through on your way to
Melbourne,
Forrest Holiday Park is your access pass to the region’s must-see sights.
