Upper Carawine GorgeEasiest route is to stay high on the south side edge of the Oakland River and follow cattle tracks along on the edge of the trees. I would un-officially class this walk as a class 3. It's a reasonably flat gradient, no serious
rock hopping required apart from the last 50m to drop down from the edge of Oakland River to the
Upper Carawine Pool - but very minor rocks/gravel. It took us an hour return to
the Gorge.
