Remote River camping between Wodonga/mildura

Ditto for that.
We used to live on Gunbower Island.
Hubby still pines for it.
A favourite evening was spent with the camp oven by the river.
It was very popular with locals but there's usually a vacant bend somewhere (unless it's Easter!).
Again, careful of rain. It rained one Easter for the first time in something like 17 years (April was notoriously dry). Those who knew got out of there. Those who didn't, paid the farmers to rescue them with their tractors!
We used to watch lots of regular vans go past our front gate in the lead-up to holidays so I'd assume the tracks are all still as good.
Fishing was lousy but it was still a superb way to pass time.
