Hopefully they will have altered the layering of place names so that commonly known towns are more visible on more layers.
An example is Bowen in Queensland. For much of the zoom level the town is shown as Merinda and you don’t see the town name until zoomed in until one can’t see where it is until you lose any perspective of where it is in relation to other major towns.
There are lots of towns displaying like this.
Melbourne Vic. Land Rover Disco 4, Sunseeker Desert Storm ATX

Funny you mention that as I was looking at Bowen the other night and saw Merinda as if was a major town and Bowen a suburb....

It's currently doing it's job so apart from having major tracks/roads stand out more from minor ones I have no complaints

My offline mapset is still 2023.1.

What benefits will I see if I update to 2025 in January?

For those who’ve been eagerly awaiting the update – we’re thrilled to announce that the first "draft" of EOTopo 2025 is now available for free viewing on the ExplorOz website! You can check it out here: EOTopo 2025 free online map viewer

Now you can explore it for yourself! We’re currently finalizing the official release documentation, which will be available next week and will address all your questions. As we're focused on completing the final release, we ask that you please hold off on individual inquiries about "what's changed" until we’ve had a chance to release all the details.

Please note, the online map viewer shows only the base map data. When viewed within the Traveller app, you’ll have access to additional layers, such as towns, camps, and points of interest.

Our goal is to have EOTopo 2025 available for purchase next week. We’ll be sending detailed update instructions to all existing owners via email. Stay tuned for the full release, which is just around the corner!

Roads blue and water blue?

Is this an update?
