90 mile Beach camping

That's correct to my knowledge as well. There's no legal beach driving from south of Sydney in NSW all the way down to and through all of Victoria. You have to go to South Australia where beach driving didn't require a permit last I was there. North of Sydney and through Queensland has wonderful beach driving but usually requires permits.

We have travelled Australia quite a bit, & I can say that the worst mozzies we have experienced anywhere in Australia were at Golden Beach, they were truly horrendous. We had planned to spend a week or so there, but survived just one night ' barricaded ' inside.

Of course we could have been there a week earlier or a week later & had no mozzies.

My brother lives in Golden Beach, and I agree about the mozzies
I suspect a new packet of “mozzie coils” is on his weekly shopping list

Despite that it is a beautiful part of the country
