CHANGES TO EXCLUSION PERIODS- DEFENCE PERIODIC USE AMBER ZONES 1 AND 2 - 4th Amendment

AMBER ZONE 1
The exclusion period for non-Defence users for the Woomera Prohibited Area Defence Periodic Use Amber Zone 1 (which was to have been activated between 26 February – 25 March 2017 will be cancelled.

AMBER ZONE 2
The exclusion period for non-Defence users for the Woomera Prohibited Area Defence Periodic Use Amber Zone 2 (refer above diagram) which was to have been activated between 26 February – 11 March 2017 will be cancelled.

EXCLUSION PERIODS THAT REMAIN FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE FINANCIAL YEAR

The exclusion periods that remain for the 2016 - 17 financial year are

Amber Zone – South-Eastern Corner (Defence Periodic Use Amber Zone 1)
• 14 May - 30 June 2017
Amber Zone - Centre-line Corridor (Defence Periodic Use Amber Zone 2)
Includes a section of the Anne Beadell Highway.
• 11 June – 30 June 2017

ACCESS
Persons who hold an existing access permission under the Defence Force Regulations 1952 should contact the Woomera Test Range on (08) 8674 3370 or email woomera.enquiries.gov.au to discuss access to the Periodic Use Amber Zones 1 or 2 during the upcoming exclusion periods.

NOTIFICATIONS AND EXCLUSION PERIOD VARIATIONS

Defence will endeavour to give non-Defence users affected by exclusion periods as much notice as possible, including instances where Defence may exercise its right to cancel or amend a published exclusion period.

Non-Defence users are also encouraged to regularly review the exclusion period information published on the WPA Coordination Office website at:
