Made it to
Cairns, six days over various terrain and through some wonderful scenery.
Today a short haul, 380km from The Lynd to
Cairns. I did not
check any fuel outlets on the way as looking forward to a hot shower. The road was good bitumen with lots of ongoing road works so what looked like a short run took some time. The scenery is very like Tasmania around Scottsdale as is the road through
Atherton. The cattle changed from Brahman cross to dairy cows. Rain and fog adding to the expectation as I coming over the tableland with heavy rain greeting us in
Cairns. Animal life today included kangaroos, pigs, foxes, hawks, eagles and heaps of local birds. I am now comfortably tucked up in a caravan park, rest days Saturday and Sunday, Bazza service Monday and weather permitting off to the Cape Tuesday. So no updates until Tuesday PM. I will go back over the last days
blogs and add pictures when they show on the site.
Cheers.
