Waratah to Strahan

Moving camp to Strahan had us travelling down the A10 past the turn off to Cradle Mountain through Tullah, Rosebery and Zeehan. We stopped in Zeehan for morning tea at a café called the Pitstop. The café has been set up with a lot of old Motor Cycle items, an "old" TV set playing Happy Days reruns and other 1950's items. We then headed on to Strahan and booked into the caravan park. After setting up we went on a local drive to the Hogath Falls and the lookout at the water tower. The walk to the Hogath falls was fairly long but except for the last uphill part was level going through thick rain forest vegetation. The lookout gave a wide view of Strahan and the various bays and water ways. Whilst looking around the town we found the ticket sales for a local play called "The Ship that Never Was". This play has been running every night of the tourist season for 20 years and is very entertaining, with lots of audience participation.
