Tilmouth Well Roadhouse - NT

Have just returned from another stay at Tilmouth Well Roadhouse, and unlike the previous reviewer, we found that, as always, we experienced nothing but entire satisfaction for our stay. The food was not only excellent, but the serves were too big for us to manage, so that the property dogs scored well! $28 for a beautifully cooked scotch fillet steak, served with fresh (not frozen) vegetables seems to us to be really good value, especially considering that T.W. is not exactly just down the road from the nearest supermarket! All of the staff, young staff included, were friendly and efficient, and attentive to our needs. The cabin and bathrooms, spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable so as to ensure a good night’s sleep! Lovely gardens in which to relax, a swimming pool, interesting walks, tranquility. All set up for the comfort of the guests. To us, T. W. is the perfect place to head for when in need of a short getaway from the home town (Alice Springs). So thanks Tilmouth Wells, you have done well, as always.

We stopped by on our way through again recently after first stopping here about 6 weeks ago and found the service was good but the prices of the food was outrageous. since our last visit the prices of the food had gone up enormously but the servings had got smaller, we asked about accommodation and we found it was not good value for money, the older members of staff we very pleasant and helpful where the new youngsters seemed lazy by sitting around on the other side of the counter, and seemed to not know what they were doing. I would seriously think about stopping here again
