Description

Crotalaria eremaea is a widely distributed shrub of central Australia and a relatively common species growing on sand dunes. Densely woolly erect woody herb with yellow flowers, the Desert rattlepod, or Bluebush pea, grows to about 1 metre in height. Leaflets smooth, oval-shaped, folded to 8x3.5 cm; yellow pea-like flowers on spikes; pods to 3x0.7 cm, beaked at the tip, with up to eight seeds.
