Ask Punmu, they would probably know.
EDIT: the Kunawarritji Community 'phone is 9167 9040. Try them first.
Where are you coming from & going?
Cheers,
Peter

Petrol Spy has no prices on its entry. Neither does Punmu Community. To me, that there is no fuel at that site if there is no price displayed. Sometimes there will be only one or two prices missing, but in these cases all their prices are missing.

I called Punmu and got through to them . They have Diesel fuel with another truck on the way . the lady mentioned Kunawarritji are notoriously hard to get a hold of .

Punmu will almost certainly be cheaper than Kunawarritji too. Great shop too. Be ready to make a generous donation for fruit and veg.
In 2025, Kiwirrikurra was 40c/L cheaper than Kunawarritji.
Don't rely on the fuel price apps for any indication of supply, either +ve or -ve.

It’s been reported recently The store at Punmu has supply issues due to the state of the road from Port Hedland.

It could only be the last 138km from the Telfer mine turn-off to the community, not the rest of the way to Port Headland. And you have to drive past Punmu to get to Kunawarritji, but there is no mention of them.
It may be significant that the Punmu shop is not run by the mob that run the Kunawarritji shop. The Punmu shop is run directly by the community.

We drove that road on 11th July 2025 and I have no idea where that pic in the article of the broken bitumen was taken.

The East Pilbara Shire does show that road currently CLOSED. East Pilbara Roads Report.

Spoke to Kunawarritji recently and they have plenty of fuel $3.99/L. Parnngurr $4.20/L. Don't know about Punmu though.
