Wagtail
Hi
Need advise please on a small to medium pop top for 2 people with ensuite
My main issue is the height when folded so that it fits into my carport , approx 2.2 metres
Have looked on YouTube and various sights but it’s quite confusing
Appreciate information on what brands to check out please
Thanks Pandora

Hi Wagtail,
What length, but more importantly, what weight (ATM) of caravan are you looking for? What is your tow vehicle?

Thanks Macca
Tow is Prado
Want a light weight one axle camper
Don’t need all the bells and whistles except a combination ensuite and low line to fit in carport

Hi Wagtail,
Where are you based? If in or near
Melbourne, there are a number of different caravan/camper manufacturers located in Epping, Somerton and Cranbourne.

Where are you?
Go to a capital city caravan and
camping show and choose from a dozen or more.
Adelaide is 23-26/7/26.
Cheers,
Peter

As for height, you can get smaller
wheels that lower the overall height, just for storage

Just a bit more info on Ultimate - only 950kg tarre. Ours is setup to carry 2
water tanks a 150L and a 50L. We have a truma combi gas hot wayer/heater which is amazing, full inside kitchen and L shape lounge (we chose gas) 3 burner with split glass cover over burner and sink. Hot
water used in sink and shower. Shower can be either inside (on latest models) or external outlet (which we use with their ensuite shower system which we love). We chose a
grey water storage
tank and we have a two way door for the portapotie storage. Massive King size bed which can be left made up but folds into 3 to pack away. Hard lid so no external canvas. Electric lid with heavy duty hinge with capacity for a load of 150kg to mount roof bars with boat, bikes or storage boxes etc. It has all the mod comforts around $80-$90k new depending on your options. Advantage is full offroad high clearance light and surprisingly spacious yet just 9.96m when hitched to our Landcruiser. Since owning this one we have looked at everything else on the road people are using - AOR, Track, Forte, etc and we definitely see the advantages of the Ultimate over them all. We pack up/setup in same time as the caravanners around us. We have bought 2 different extra awnings too and use them in different situations. All very
well made. Fully Australian designed and manufactured. We’ve been to the factory last year in
Moruya NSW. Lead times on ordering new is around 9 months but can vary depending on season.

My sister bought an MDC Forte 9+
I was a bit sceptical when she told me, but impressed with what she got for her money.
