Hi all,

I need to replace my Maxilamp 3 tail lights for roadworthy. The price of these has gone through the roof.
Has anyone found a replacement (same size) at a reasonable price that complies to ADR

Thanks, Kevin

What is the issue that you need to replace them for a roadworthy? Just seems odd.

Just guessing, but possibly the colour has faded to a point that it no longer meets the ADR Standard.

Hi Kevin,

Have you confirmed with VicRoads that they will not pass roadworthy?

Maxilamps have a 7 year warranty - perhaps contact LED Autolamps and find out.

Kevin, with all due respect to the RWC Issuer, I would be investigating exactly what the ADR’s state in relation to Stop/Tail lights. Given that the majority of the red lights within each combination are clearly working, he may just be being a little too pedantic. Of course, at the end of the day, he needs to be satisfied as he is the person signing off on the RWC.

I mentioned ADR as the Maxilamp say they are compliant. I didn’t want to get a cheaper eBay unit without knowing they would pass a roadworthy. As I mentioned earlier all the cheaper eBay sellers I contacted asking if they were ADR compliant & would pass RWC never responded.

The marking on an ADR approved light is an E in a circle. The number indicates the country of origin.
If you google this you will find the precise dimensions of the E mark.
