Just what got up your nose to initiate that missive?

When there is a sign stating " please shut the toilet lid to keep the frogs away so the snakes don't come in".
I think that is self explanatory.

Add: Leave the bloody gate how you found it!

Could not agree more and it show how bloody lazy and hopeless people are.

One big thing that gets right up my goat is when men do not use the urinal, have a pee in the normal toilet, never put the f…ing lid down and then do not flush the toilet ……..some men are just totally bloody hopeless.

If I wasn't so busy for the rest of this year, I would put up my list of things that people do that annoy me.

Why can't people ..........................................????????????

Reckon I could come up with a couple thousand easily :)

Running your engine at 5am beside another camper while you clatter about packing up for two hours before leaving.

Not moving over when passing oncoming traffic on narrow single-lane roads or tracks.

Leaving half-burnt rubbish and scraps in the fireplace as you leave.

Not clearing out the mountain of ash from your week’s worth of bonfires so the firepit is actually usable by the next person.

Leaving toilet paper in the bush instead of burning it safely where permitted, or collecting it and disposing of it later.

Walking directly through someone else’s campsite because it’s a convenient “shortcut”.

Assuming everyone nearby shares your taste in music — and playing it loudly enough to make sure they do.

Running generators close to other campers, particularly early in the morning or late at night.

Leaving bright camp lights blazing all night when others are trying to enjoy the darkness and stars.

And one of the simplest: arriving too late to get a camp spaced well apart so assuming its ok to jam yourself in tight to others.

Really, most camping etiquette is just common sense and consideration. However, on this Forum we're just preaching to the converted I guess. Its those that are new to travelling that seem to have no clue about their impact on others. My guess is its city people with fear of the quiet, fear of the dark, fear of being alone. Seeking safety in numbers.

And that other classic:
A caravan cruising along at 80-90kph on a highway with de-restricted speed limit with 3 road trains, 2 other caravans and about 7 LV's behind them on a stretch of road with no safe overtaking opportunities for the next god knows how many kilometers. I get they are on holidays and have no schedule to keep and I envy that but please...a little consideration, pull over and let the rest of us move on. Or at least carry a UHF radio and use it to communicate. They set the standard for the next generation of travellers.

It is known as generational change coupled with there is no such thing as parenting any more.

The thousands of self centred ignorant people driving at night illegally in clear weather with fog lights on thinking it's safe for them to blind oncoming traffic. Also the Police Departments for being to lazy to crack down on it and issue fines that's why it's gotten out of hand. It's all about keeping the roads dangerous to drive on at night.

I've been asking my missus this very same question for years :)

My point of view. I get the toilet lid thing, but I feel we've generally become intolerant.

When travelling in remote bush or desert areas for over 30 years. There are no signs, etc., to tell me there's a washout, or a dip coming up, or a rock on the track, etc. Rocks don't have lights on; dips out here don't have signs warning me. I use my eyes and ears to detect what's ahead.

What's next? Maybe a person walking out in front of our vehicle with a flag warning of our imminent arrival.

Come on, folks, less intolerance and more tolerance!
