An easy dish my Mum used to make using just a few ingredients. A good dish for a cold night around the campfire!
Ingredients
- 500g beef mince
- Half a small cabbage
- 1 x onion
- 1 x 50g pack of chicken noodle soup mix
- Keens curry powder
- water
Method
- Step 1In a large saucepan, brown beef mince.
- Step 2Whilst mince is cooking, finely slice onion and chop cabbage. Add soup mix to 250ml of boiling water.
- Step 3
- Step 4Once beef mince is brown, set aside and brown onion. return mince to the saucepan and add curry powder. I use about two tea spoons, add more or less depending on how spicy you like your food.
- Step 5
- Step 6Add soup mix to the mince and onion and now add the cabbage. stir through to mix the mince through the cabbage and now add enough water to cover the mince and cabbage.
- Step 7
- Step 8Simmer until cabbage is cooked to your liking, add salt and pepper to taste and serve.
- Step 9I like this meal served with rice, I find it tastes even better the next day and is really nice on toast for breakfast!
