Description

Native Willow is a medium sized open shrub growing to about 4 metres high. The leaves are about 5cm long, covered with soft white hairs. Buds and seedpods are also hairy. Yellow pea-shaped flowers are borne in clusters at the ends of the branches. Grows where moisture is available from seepage.

Flowering start in September and ends in December.

Identification

The main flower colour is yellow. Previously named Oxylobium lanceolatum. The species name "lanceolata" refers to the lance shape of the leaves - although leaf shape is variable.
