Widespread across desert areas. Erect shrub, 0.7-2 m high. Sandy soils. Sand dunes, rocky ironstone rises.

Barrens Regelia

Sparsely branched woody shrub to 3m. Oval leaves about 1cm long in 4 distinct rows along the stems, slightly grey in colour.

Silver Box

A small tree with rough box-type bark. Adult leaves retain their juvenile form, they are large about 15x8cm, waxy-grey (glaucous) and the same colour on both sides, opposite and sessile.

Brachysema aphyllum

This prostrate, mat forming pea plant was growing on the road shoulder in gravel. The leafless stems are flattened to function as leaves. The species name (aphyllum) means "without leaves".

Wild Tobacco

We found this Nicotiana growing inside a small cave - almost a cave dwelling plant. It favours growing in rocky places like rocky hills, cliffs & outcrops.
